前一陣子去逛牯嶺街創意市集
在歲時紀攤位隔壁看到一個專賣書衣的攤位
翻一翻才知道那些書衣上的圖案
都是她的設計~她拍的照或是畫的畫
(起因是因為我問她有沒有北歐的風景
他說沒有~因為還沒去過:p)

至於為什麼把畫作成書衣呢~

believe it or not,
I’m still a freshman vendor in my country.
the truth is I’m very nervous about selling
my paintings in Taiwan.
my customers had different kind of requirements to me,
not like when I sold my paintings in NYC.

everything is about ‘function’

‘can I put my CD on the back??

可s it a heat insulation plat?’
‘what can I do for it if I buy it home?’

ok! I see…..
so I put my image on waterproof oil painting fabric,
and saw them up by myself,
so my works are now passport / book covers and so on.

people loves that, out of my imagination,
they forget my pure art but I can accept it,
because I believe, one day,
they gonna have connections with my art again.

my pure art!

the point is, never give up.

我拍了我跟她買的書衣跟大家分享
第一本是幫字典買的衣服
當場量好了之後再去當代藝術館跟她取貨
一個禮拜內她就會交貨了
她每個禮拜六四點之後會在當代外頭擺攤(創意市集)
第二本是為了CFS筆記本所買的
另一方面也是因為這幅圖畫在她的網站上看到覺得很有FU~很喜歡
